Earth: Our Home in the Vast Universe

Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only known planet with the right conditions to support life. It is a beautiful and complex planet with a wide range of ecosystems, from deserts to rainforests, and from mountains to oceans.

Earth is also known as the Blue Planet because of its abundant water, covering about 71% of its surface.

The size of Earth is about 12,742 km in diameter, and it orbits around the Sun at an average distance of 93 million miles.

The Earth’s atmosphere is made up of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and 1% other gases. This atmosphere protects us from the harsh radiation of the Sun and provides us with the air we breathe.

Earth has a magnetic field that protects the planet from the solar wind, which is a stream of charged particles coming from the Sun.

This magnetic field also helps to create the Northern and Southern Lights, which are beautiful displays of colored lights in the sky.

One of the most unique features of Earth is the presence of life. The diversity of life on Earth is amazing, with millions of different species of plants, animals,
